Here’s guitarist Alex Park, a student of Christopher Parkening at Pepperdine University, playing Ponce’s gigue from the Suite in A Minor on a 1925 Hermann Hauser I.

Big thanks to the folks at Ehrlund for providing us with a pair of their EHR-M microphones which we used for the audio on this video.

A beautiful way to play guitar, to understand that guitar without expression is a flower
without scent. Remembers the recordings of John William end of the 60,s. Bravo. I loved it

If this is the way a Hasuer should sound , then I am quite disappointed with a Hauser III I played recently.

This guitar is 90 years old! Jordi Savall, the famed viola da gamba resurrector, plays an instrument that is 300 years old or more. No modern viola sounds like his.
The age factor plus the choice of woods make the Hauser III sound very different.
