Here’s more of Peter Fletcher on that amazing 1961 Robert Bouchet from the Russell Cleveland Collection. Here he plays a Scriabin Prelude, Opus 16, No. 4. It’s a miniature of a piece, but quite beautiful.

Incredible instrument. The sustain is amazing.
I think the noise sounds as though it is transferred from the LH fingers/nails and seems to be a property of the Bouchet. The guitars of Antonio Marín Montero also have this quality, I have noticed.
