Here’s 17-year-old Jennifer Kim playing all five of William Walton’s Five Bagatelles, written for Julian Bream, on a 1966 David ‘Jose’ Rubio from the Russell Cleveland Collection much like the one Bream played at the time he recorded the Bagatelles. And stay tuned for Jennifer’s debut CD ‘Seventeen’, which we will have for sale very shortly.

Huge thanks to the folks at Apogee (ApogeeDigital.com) for the use of their fantastic Ensemble interface.

  4. Jim Coan says:

I remember long ago people use to say of these pieces, “though far from profound,” because they were entitled Bagatelles so therefore they were light, airy, meaningless. But listening to and watching this young genius perform them, I think: how profound!

  5. Carl Edwards says:

Her take on the Bagatelles seems really fresh to me. I can’t wait to hear more from this rockin’ young musician!
