16-year-old Olivia Chiang was back in for videos. She’s been coming in since she was 12 and it’s been really fun to watch her grow as a player. This time she played John Doan’s Farewell on a great 2007 Aaron Green cedar-top. We’ve got a new playlist on YouTube if you want to see Olivia’s progress over the past four years.

You can get the music and tabs for this piece at the composer’s website –

Thanks John – always great to hear from the composer! I’ve added the link up top as well so folks will find their way to your site for the music.

  4. Hi Kay! Hope you are doing great. I really liked it. Beautiful sound. Wish you all the best. Looking forward to see more from you 🙂

  5. I mainly refer to guitars since this is what I build. But I’d like to throw in a compliment to the young lady…well done.

Aaron Green is a meticulous builder and won’t settle for anything less than the best of wood used in his creations.

And although wood does not wholly contribute to the voice, as a sole choice, I have to say that Aaron has locked in certain voicing that appeals.

His techniques are respected by me, as a peer, and I would recommend his guitars without reservation.
