A friend of GSI Evan Hirschelman stopped by the showroom recently and left behind a rockin’ performance on a fantastic-sounding 1925 Santos Hernandez in spruce and mahogany. Evan plays an original composition titled “Minds that Go! (Hommage to Chuck Schuldiner)”, which is dedicated to Schuldiner: the American singer, songwriter and guitarist who passed away in 2001. The piece is an adventurous one, and we like how it suits the dark, rich sound of the Santos (qualities that Santos is know for).

Now wait a minute! Is that classical? Who allowed this progressive rocker in the building?

No matter. It’s great playing and feeling, interesting odd time signatures, drama and pacing, excitement. Thank you!

Super Evan, pure magic. All the best, mate.

Tocar isso num Santos Hernandez é um sacrilégio.
