Sebastian Stenzel just sent us some photos of the guitar he is about to send us – a gorgeous cedar and ziricote guitar. You’ll notice that the sides are lined with maple, like on the Bernabe ‘Imperial’. The shots of the top are from about about a month and a half ago, and the rest are from this week.

I’ve been watching this guitar being made as I visited Sebastians workshop regularly. It’s an instrument that is beautiful to look at and with a great sound and playability … it got the best and most beautiful piece of well seasoned cedar as a top that I’ve ever seen…

    congrats to the future owner!

    Beautiful looking wood .

  3. LAWRENCE says:

Very spectacular wood ,the maple lining is another good idea .Pioneered by Ramirez ( cypress lining ) and Bernabe .

Stunning wood but where has that beautiful svelte plantilla gone?

  5. LAWRENCE says:

Tom ,immediately noticed the less than elegant plantilla ,it is very square ,butch and ungraceful. Not enough curves.

Another beautiful guitar from a builder I find very inspirational!

Beautiful. To be admired on its own merits like all works of art.
