One of the coolest things to happen at GSI this year was Pepe Romero Jr.’s 200th guitar celebration, which we hosted in the showroom here. Pepe Sr. has kept in his collection every tenth guitar that Pepe Jr. has made as well as the first guitar Pepe Jr. ever made, for a total (so far) of 21 guitars. For the event Pepe Jr. told us a bit about each guitar and then Pepe Sr. illustrated by playing a piece or an excerpt. We filmed the whole event and are finally getting around to editing it, so here’s a little clip to get us started. You can read a bit more about the event here.

Our next event will be on January 29th and will feature Marc Teicholz playing a selection of historic guitars, as he did on the CD we produced with him, Valseana.

Theses are nice sounding guitars ,sweet sounding with a very nice depth of bass ,the low F on the 6thstring first fret is lovely.

Cypress wood makes for a lovely sounding classical guitar too.

Wish I could have been there. Thanks for recording and posting this. I look forward to seeing the rest.

This is a young guitar maker with a lot of promise–simple, straight forward, and unpretentious. The guitar delivers and that’s all you could ask.
