Armenian-born guitarist Vahagni was at GSI last week to play some guitars, and as he had to make a video for his column in Fingerstyle 360, we decided to just shoot it at the showroom. So here he is playing a Bulerias falseta and then breaking it down for us on a great 1994 Jose Marin Plazuelo flamenco.

great stuff. had a nice, modern feel.

  2. Enjoyed your presentation, commentary and your playing. I’ve been playing classical for over fifty years and never entertained a notion towards flamenco until just this minute! Thank you for opening a new avenue!

Excellent.Love the relaxed easy teaching style!!

I am in the same boat as Marty. I appreciate the flamenco technique but have never found any of the music to my taste. This piece does have a more contemporary feel and incites me to find more with this sound. You need to have an album review post. Old and new albums. Spread the love.

Where or how can I get the music for this piece?

For the love of Flamenco! Hook me up:)

“Solitude” – Universal Music group (August 28th 2012) which is a Flamenco/World/Jazz album and has some killing players on it.

“Broken Compass” LMS Records pre-sales are available now
