Christopher Garwood is a sophomore at USC, where he studies with William Kanengiser, and he just won the 7th annual Pacific Guitar Festival competition. GSI was a sponsor of the competition and so we thought it would be fun to record some videos with the winner. He played his competition pieces for us – Bach’s Allegro BWV 998 on a 2012 Sakurai-Kohno ‘Professional-J’ and Turina’s ‘Sevillana’. We ended up doing two takes of the Turina – first on a 2013 Jochen Rothel maple guitar and then on a 2005 Eric Sahlin – so here are both versions.
