Here’s more of Peter Fletcher, this time playing the Gavotte from Bach’s Lute Suite #3 on a beautiful 1995 Hermann Hauser III (EX Jonathan Kellerman), Miguel Llobet’s Testament D’Amelia on a new Jose Ramirez Guitarra Del Tiempo, Isaac Albeniz’ Asturias on a 2013 Woonsun Lee, and Asturias and Segovia’s Oración on a 2006 Rafael Moreno Rodriguez ‘Negra’ (another example of great guitars being capable of handling classical or flamenco).
Here’s more of our friend Peter Fletcher playing some really interesting guitars for us, including a 2013 Paolo Coriani ‘Manuel Ramirez’ in spruce and CSA rosewood, a 2014 Antonio Raya Pardo ‘Torres’ in maple and spruce, a 2013 Woonsun Lee in spruce and Indian rosewood, a 2004 Kevin Aram ‘Dylann’ in cedar and Indian, and a great new Federico Sheppard ‘Camino’ in spruce and CSA rosewood.
Our friend Peter Fletcher was in town on tour and stopped by to record some guitars for us. Among the pieces he played was his transcription of Erik Satie’s Reverie du Pauvre, which he played on seven different guitars. So here’s Peter playing Satie on guitars by Kevin Aram, Hermann Hauser III, Paolo Coriani, Loriente, Kazuo Sato, Antonio Raya Pardo and the Hill Guitar Company.
Peter Fletcher will perform a solo recital at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
Main works will include Bach’s Third Lute Suite, William Walton’s Five Bagatelles, and Córdoba by Isaac Albéniz. Fletcher will also perform works by Dowland, Paganini, Llobet and Segovia. Additionally and notably, he will perform some of his transcriptions from his Erik Satie CD, released by Centaur Records.
