Giovanni Tacchi Shares Sneak Peek Photos of His Next Guitar!
We’re excited to share photos of a new guitar by Giovanni Tacchi. As the son of the esteemed Italian luthier Andrea Tacchi, Giovanni has, in recent years, taken up the craft of lutherie himself. He draws his inspiration from the guitars made by Daniel Friederich, which he has studied extensively. Several years ago, we had the privilege of seeing his first instrument, a bench copy meticulously crafted after a Friederich guitar he had borrowed and examined in detail. Since then, he has modified the design, incorporating his own ideas.
The materials used are beautiful. The top is made of cedar with spruce bracing, just like the Friederich guitar he studied. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood. We expect this guitar to arrive in our store in a few weeks. Check out sneak peek photos below!
