New Rosette Pattern In Ariel Ameijenda's Next GSI Guitar

News

Guitar maker from Uruguay, Ariel Ameijenda, shared sneak peek photos of his next guitar built for us. This instrument will feature a different rosette pattern designed specifically for this instrument.

This is going to be the second guitar built for us featuring a set of newly acquired Alerce wood. Although "new" to Ariel, the wood is actually quite old and can be traced back to stock that came from the workshop of Juan Pablo Cristalino, a maker from Buenos Aires who built guitars in the 1930s. The tight grain of this wood is very impressive - you can count 4 years per millimeter. Check it out in one of the photos. For the back and sides, Ariel used Amazonian Rosewood. The guitar also features Ariel's famous "Confessional" CSA rosewood which he used for the central panel of the back, bridge, and head plate.
