GSI President, David Collett, Visits 2024 Roma Expo Guitars!

Last weekend was a thrilling one for David Collett, President of GSI, as he embarked on a trip to Italy for the 2024 edition of Roma Expo Guitars. This trade show, organized by the Chitarra In Association, is exclusively dedicated to the world of classical guitar and specifically, everything that is connected with the Italian guitar-making scene. One couldn't imagine a better place to organize such an event. It takes place in the heart of Rome, near the iconic Trevi Fountain - the world's largest fountain from the Baroque period.

Amidst this vibrant atmosphere, David seized the opportunity to connect with many excellent guitar builders and enthusiasts. It was also great to see many of our old-time friends and spend time with them in this beautiful city.

The show itself was spectacular as always. This year, almost 30 luthiers presented their guitars. In addition to meeting new makers and getting to know their craft, David also had the opportunity to see the newest masterpieces made by luthiers with whom we already collaborate.

Another highlight of this trip was a dinner with Nicolo Alessi and a few other friends to celebrate 20 years of Alessi Tuning Machines.
