1905 Jose Serratosa Classical Spruce Rosewood

Condition:Repaired
Category:Classical Guitars
Description
José Serratosa classical guitar hand crafted between 1890 - 1905. This guitar is very well-constructed and built in finest handcraft. It has a Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides. The scale length is 640 mm and the nut width 50 mm. The guitar has a rich, warm tone. The guitar is in a restored and playable condition. The guitar has a few cracks that were well-repaired over the years and new frets were recently installed. We also installed mechanical tuning pegs that really increase the enjoyability of playing this instrument (making tuning very easy) without altering the instrument in any way. The original wooden friction pegs will be included and conversion back to the friction pegs is a simple task. José Serratosa was born in Tarrasa in the province of Cataluña in 1855. The label indicates that this instrument was built in José's first listed workshop at "Calle Ancha, 54" Barcelona. Comes with an older hard-shell case that is in good condition. Will be packed well and insured for its sale value. Please email with any questions. Thank you.
