2004 Höfner HGL50 Schwarzwald Edition AAA Black Forest Spruce Walnut

Condition:Very Good
Category:Classical Guitars
Description
***If you are buying for/as a student and you live in the Greater LA area, send me an offer and I will work with you*** This is a 2004 Hofner classical guitar, with a solid AAA spruce top and solid walnut back and sides. This guitar is one of 250 instruments built in Hofner's Green Line series for its model year, using hand-selected woods from the Black Forest, aged for six years before manufacture. The solid spruce top is AAA grade, matte finish, showing light bearclaw figuring. The back, sides, fingerboard, and bridge are all made out of walnut. Originally the tuning machines had walnut buttons, but the tuning machines gave out several years ago and had to be replaced. The headstock has been hand carved with a gorgeous design. Included are a hardshell case and the string ties that give the bridge a cleaner look and gives a better angle to the saddle. https://www.stringsbymail.com/diamond-secure-string-ties-tieblock-system-7-beads-white-16283.html Being the only spruce topped classical guitar in my stable, this guitar has excellent clarity and projection but with a mellow and soft timbre. When I play sul tasto the sound reminds me of a singing harp. Basically, this guitar sounds as sweet and soft as it looks! I bought it almost eight years ago but have never really played it too much since. It is much deserving of a new home and would be great for the aspiring student or the avid collector!
