2007 Dake Traphagen 35th Anniversary Spruce CSA Rosewood

Condition:Excellent
Category:Classical Guitars
Description
This is a beautiful & meticulously made guitar from one of America's most well known luthiers. For this limited run of only 8 instruments, built to celebrate 35 years of guitar making, Dake used his best & oldest woods he has collected, some up to 275 years old. Detailing is exceptional. The rosette features elaborate marquetry, with mother of pearl inlays in place of a central mosaic. A half-herringbone top purfling gives it an elegant appearance. Tuners are Rogers. The sound is as elegant as it's appearance. It has a smooth, round & balanced tone, with a fat, almost "juicy" quality to every note. It has surprisingly quick response similar to the instruments of Miguel Rodriguez. It is fun to play & has great projection for any concert hall. It has great clarity & separating between voices & at the same time, retains a soft warmth at the center of each note. The guitar is in excellent condition, no visible scratches, barely any signs of being played. It is truly beautiful. I am open to reasonable offers as well.
