2012 Tobias Braun German Spruce Satinwood

Condition:Very Good
Category:Classical Guitars
Aging fingers oblige me to part with this finely crafted instrument featuring a solid German Spruce top with bear claw pattern, solid Satinwood back and sides, french polish shellac finish, 650mm scale length and 52.5mm nut. Special features include a small turnovoz to increase projection and clarity, and customized Rubner tuners engraved with the builder's initials. I purchased this guitar in September 2017 from its previous owner, luthier Darren Hippner, who had purchased it from GSI. As demonstrated in the attached video (recorded when the guitar was with GSI), it exhibits superb playability, tone, string separation, sustain and volume. It is in very good overall condition: one horizontal crack on the butt end, and a 3/4" center seam separation at the bottom end of the soundboard, were both professionally repaired by luthier Glenn Nichols, are barely visible (see photos) and do not affect its performance. A new saddle was installed by luthier Toby Rzepka in 2020. Fitted with a new set of Savarez Cantiga Premium normal tension strings. The guitar will be shipped in a white JW Eastman hardshell case that is in excellent condition.
