Coming Soon - Michael Cadiz

We have photos of the next guitar on its way to us from Seattle-based luthier Michael Cadiz – a gorgeous spruce and aged Claro walnut instrument that should be ready around the end of February. Here’s Michael on the new guitar:

“This guitar is my Concert Model, but rather than European spruce and Indian rosewood this one will have Claro walnut back and sides, a Lutz spruce top, a Spanish cedar neck and Alessi tuners. The design is an amalgamation of several different builders. My approach and the many of my construction processes are directly taken from my time learning from Robert Ruck, however my current bracing pattern is loosely based on Fleta. I aim for a large dynamic range and a rich and complex tone. At the same time, I try to balance that with some of the response and bloom that I appreciate so much from the more lightly built traditional instruments.”
