Los Romeros: 60th Anniversary Documentary premieres on January 20, 2021 on YouTube!

Los Romeros (The Romeros) is one of the most important guitar quartets in the history of classical guitar. Los Romeros, who are known also as “The Royal Family of the Guitar”, consists only of the members of the Romero family. This legendary quartet was founded in 1960 by Celedonio Romero, the father and guitar teacher of his three sons – Angel, Celin and Pepe. Celedonio grew up in Spain, but in 1957 he moved together with his family to the United States. The Romeros have changed the course of the history of the classical guitar ensemble music. In 1990, Angel left the quartet what allowed Celin’s son Celino to join as a member. Six years later, when Celedonio passed away Angel’s son, Lito, joined the group.

January 20, 2021 marks the 60th anniversary of the inaugural concert of Los Romeros. The quartet has produced a documentary to commemorate this historical event.
