Description

Jose Oribe began making guitars in 1962, who along with the late Manuel Velazquez, makes him one of North America's veteran builders of the past 50 years. Oribe is famous for his fine materials as a quick glance at this instrument will attest. This model, his 'Classica Suprema' is a top model in terms of the quality materials and build. His instruments have often been compared to the finest Madrid-style instruments (Ramirez, Contreras, Bernabe, etc.) in their tonal and structural characteristics, and this particular guitar delivers in grand style with a big, deep and rich tone with great volume, making this a particularly strong instrument for live performance. This guitar is a fine example of Oribe's best work. Although 20 years old, the condition is excellent with only very minor signs of playing wear in the finish. Includes the original Oribe hardshell case with case cover and certificate of authenticity.
