Antonio de Torres, the "father of the modern guitar" was the first to establish most design principles which set the standard for virtually every guitar maker following him. This guitar is based on a first-epoch Torres built in Sevilla in 1856 which Kenny Hill had the opportunity to evaluate and inspect. It has the classic Torres 7-fan bracing, and a beautiful body shape slightly smaller than the current standard. It has an elegant rosette in natural black and white, with soundboard purflings using matching elements. The sound is strong, with singing highs, and solid bass. Ideal for players seeking a smaller instrument, but a full concert sound.
