Description

Jose Oribe began making guitars in 1962, who along with Manuel Velazquez, makes him one of North America's veteran builders of the past half century. Oribe is famous for his fine materials as a quick glance at this instrument will attest. This instrument is built in a style that is often compared to the finest Madrid-style instruments (Ramirez, Contreras, Bernabe, etc.) in its tonal and structural characteristics. It has a big, deep and rich tone with great volume, making this a particularly strong instrument for live performance. It was built for Angel Romero who up until now has been its only owner. The guitar has 3 nearly invisible, repaired cracks in the top, expertly done by Yuris Zeltins, otherwise it is in great shape. It has a big, powerful, robust sound with thick trebles and deep basses.
