Description

Completely hand-made in the Teodoro Perez workshop, Marco Tejeda's guitar models are named after the neighborhoods of Madrid - in contrast to his brother-in-law Sergio Perez, who names his models after the various cities of Spain. "Chamberi" is one of the districts that forms part of Madrid's "Central Almond". Marco is the son-in-law of Teodoro Perez and the 4th member of their workshop where he has been working since 2009. His "Chamberi" model has its own unique bracing system and retains the same high standards of fit-and-finish of all the instruments made in this workshop. Upgrades from his "La Latina" model include French polish (instead of lacquer), additional inlay in the purfling, and use exotic materials - most notably the beautiful "green ebony" for the back and sides. The cedar top version has a sound that is rich in velvety overtones and responsive with a nice, quick attack. It has plenty of power and refinement of tone - a great choice for concert performance and recording alike. Like every guitar we have seen from the Perez workshop, the set-up is superb and the attention to detail is impeccable. A hardshell case is included with this guitar.
