Description

This guitar from 1965 has a spruce soundboard with back and sides of quartersawn CSA rosewood, which is a bit rare for Fleta as most of his instruments were built with Indian rosewood. As expected, the sound is incredible - deep and complex with great dynamic range and balance. In typical Fleta fashion, it has a haunting, mysterious and dark sound, with substantial power. It has unusually good separation of voices even when playing chordal passages. The condition of the guitar is great - it has no cracks and only very modest signs of playing wear. It is in exceptional playing condition - ready for recording studio or concert stage. This is certainly a fine example from one of the greatest luthiers of 20th century. A very desirable instrument for both collector and performer.
