Manuel Reyes of Cordoba is considered to be one of the greatest and most sought-after makers in the world. For more than half a century he has been known for the authentic Andalusian flamenco sound of his guitars. This guitar is easy to play and has all the richness necessary for solo performing. The tone of of this guitar is sweet, beautiful and lyrical while retaining the bite and energy of flamenco. It's a very lightweight instrument, very much in the style of the mid-century flamenco. It does have several repaired cracks, and has been expertly re-finished recently by German Vazquez Rubio. It's current condition is concert-ready and the repairs are all in perfect structural condition. The pegs have also been replaced with the Planetary "Friction pegs", for a traditional look and feel but with machine precision and hold. Reyes' guitars have been played by dozens of flamenco professionals internationally for decades. His waitlist for new instruments has been closed for many years due to its enormous size, so these are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
