This guitar is very easy to play, with a lovely neck and easy action, despite the way many of the guitars from this period were set up. The tone is thick yet clear, and has that essential warm, mysterious and moody quality that made Ramirez famous in the great recordings made by Segovia and Parkening from this time. It features lush CSA rosewood for the back and sides – quite a treat for the eyes. The condition is great for its age - there are no cracks or repairs, but the previous owner did have the soundboard expertly re-finished by Pepe Romero Jr. to remove dings and scratches (and a string ding - still visible) that had apparently been in the original finish. An excellent example of a fine Ramirez for either collector or concert player.
