Description

Manuel Reyes of Cordoba, Spain, alongside with Madrid maker Arcangel Fernandez is the most respected flamenco maker in the world today. Over the past half-century, his guitars have been played by countless flamenco professionals (most notably Tomatito, Paco Serrano and Vicente Amigo) and he has become a legend in his lifetime – so much so that for many years now his wait-list for new instruments has been permanently closed. This beautiful negra has tremendous bark throughout the entire register; at the same time, the sound is sweet and tempered, not just raspy and dry as with some modern flamencos, but lyrical and voice-like. It is easy to play and has all the richness necessary for solo performing. The guitar is in excellent, all original condition with only signs of minor playing wear – mostly superficial scratches in the finish. Perfect for a discriminating collector or professional player, alike.
