This guitar was built in the famous Jose Ramirez III workshop, which for over half a century has produced instruments performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.
In the 1980’s José Ramirez III made three different types of acoustic guitars, one of them with the dreadnought shape and steel strings, and the other two with José Ramírez III's design (called "European"), one with steel strings and the other with nylon strings. This particular guitar is the European nylon string model, which was an original José Ramírez design, with a smaller body than its classical western guitar counterparts. This is an artisan acoustic guitar with nylon strings, German spruce top, Indian rosewood sides and back, fitted with two beautiful cypress panels.
