Description

In 1992 Barba built 15 guitars to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of his career as a luthier. He made 12 rosewood guitars, and only 3 blancas - and this is one of them. For this special anniversary project, he built these instruments with his best materials. It was also dedicated to a "maestro Casteno" on the label. It is visually stunning and features many unique and lovely details including a striking alternation of a red/green motif in the rosette and purfling. It was recently outfitted with planetary (machined) pegs by Yuris Zeltins, and we still have the original wooden pegs in the case with the guitar. Tone is fat and balanced with a lot of punch, volume and flamenco edge. A very powerful and lively Andalusian flamenco guitar in like-new condition.
