American luthier John Weissenrieder built this guitar in the workshop of Andrea Tacchi, before he set up his own independent workshop in Florence, Italy. This model is based on an original Garcia from 1916 that Andrea Tacchi was able to inspect and measure while on a trip to Paris. The attention to detail and elegant aesthetics make this a gorgeous guitar, and the quality of tone is just as stunning. In the spirit of an authentic Garcia, this guitar has a deep, charming old-world voice with richa basses end and round, lyrical trebles. It also boasts precise focus and clarity to the fundamental of every note up and down the register. The graceful neck shape and easy action help to create a very playable guitar as well. Although an old-fashioned charmer in tone, it has plenty of power and projection, enough for any concert situation. A wonderful instrument in every regard.
