Description
This is a lovely instrument by Tobias Braun. and as usual, he has used some spectacular materials including gorgeous German spruce which is covered in bearclaw and has irregular, yet tight and beautiful grain patters. The wood used for the back and sides is a dramatic set of CSA rosewood. This instrument is built in the style of the great foundational Spanish masters of the past - Torres/Manuel Ramirez/Santos/Esteso, not just in the appearance (such as the use of the 'wave' pattern mosaic in the rosette, and purflings throughout with meander pattern) but structurally as well - it's lightly built, has a quick response and a loose, warm, romantic sound. All in all, a very unique and engaging instrument.
