Description
Over the last several years, Fritz Ober has been building some of the best Torres/Hauser style guitars available. In our opinion, this maker stands in his own right as one of the great young contemporary guitar makers in the world. His workmanship, choice of materials, and quality of sound are not just outstanding but nearly unmatched and attention to detail is astounding. Playability is excellent. The sound is clear, focused and powerful. We have sold his instruments to such notable players as Pepe and Celin Romero, Earl Klugh, John Ingwerson, Doug Rubio, Andy Summers, and many other professors and collectors of the classical guitar. This particular instrument from 2004 features stunning flamed maple for the back and sides and a gorgeous spruce top with some very elegant bearclaw in the grain. Although second-hand, it's in great shape with only minor wear in the finish. Sound is superb - excellent clarity with a very woody, natural tone. A beautiful choice for the discriminating performer.Orfeo article on Hauser III, Blochinger and Ober
