Description

This is a beautiful instrument made by G.V. Rubio, here in California. Materials are very high quality and a pleasure to look at, including a perfectly quarter-sawn spruce top and gorgeous maple back and sides. The shellac finish is applied with a level of attention to detail and perfection found in very few makers. The sound is extremely responsive and open, with plenty of volume and character. The trebles are very clear and easy to work with, and the basses are steady and full. The slightly extra doming in the soundboard (ie "archtop") increases the stiffness, and therefore allows for reduced thickness, giving the guitar additional power and focus. Playability is a dream with very low action. Apart from some very small signs of wear, the condition is excellent with no damage or repairs. Overall, a beautiful-sounding concert guitar for a great price.
