Description

Manuel Reyes of Cordoba is considered to be one of the greatest and most sought after makers in the world - arguably the most in-demand of any living flamenco maker. Although still alive and building guitars, he has entered the realm of collectibility as well, which is a very rare feat for a luthier of any stature. He is reknown for his superb aesthetics and of course his authentic Andalusian flamenco sound. This guitar is easy to play and has all the richness necessary for solo performing - the negra has additional punch and power in it as well which makes it especially suitable for live settings. The tone of his instruments has always been described as sweet, beautiful and lyrical while retaining the bite and energy of flamenco. They have been played by dozens of flamenco professionals internationally, perhaps the most noted of them would be Vicente Amigo. His wait-list for new instruments is now closed due to its enormous size, but GSI is proud to announce that for decades, we have been the only dealer (in the world) who Reyes Sr. has provided new guitars.
