Description

Although born in Sweden, luthier Tobias Berg has followed the craft of guitar making through Canada, England, and the US. He finally settled in Germany where he has been a full-time guitar builder for many years. His guitars are light in weight, a bit more compact in build size and are therefore very comfortable, fun and easy to play. They have a beautiful, liquid quality to the tone, and are incredibly balanced.

This guitar has a spruce top which has great clarity between voices and at the same time has a rich velvety texture in every note. Back and sides are made from a beautiful set of birdseye maple, which has an almost 3D like texture to it. This guitar has a unique and bold aesthetic - the headstock shape, rosette design and bridge reveal a fondness for traditional Japanese architecture which Tobias admires for its understated elegance in its usage of perfect lines and sharp edges. He has seamlessly and delicately integrated elements of this into his unique and beautiful design. For this guitar Tobias also did some additional carving work in the headstock making this one of his most unique looking guitars. Although a used guitar, it is in excellent condition with barely any signs of playing wear. This is a great example of this makers finest work and in every regard a top concert guitar by any standard.
