Description

This guitar was built in the famous Jose Ramirez workshop, which for over half a century has produced instruments performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.

Jose Ramirez have re-introduced the classic "2a" model, which has been out of production for over 2 decades. The latest Ramirez "2a" follows the classic design originally conceived by Jose Ramirez III, and is identical to the standard "Tradicional" model in all ways, with the exception of using materials that may have minor aesthetic blemishes, such as small knots, or what in Spain are called "cocas" (darker areas of resin concentration in the grain). The tone and workmanship are first class, and the guitar offers a sound that is on par with the best that the Ramirez workshop has to to offer. We are thrilled to be reintroducing this model afresh to a new generation of guitarists looking for a professional-level concert guitar with the authentic Ramirez sound at a relaxed price.
