Originally based out of Southern California, luthier Erez Perelman now lives and builds guitars in his home country of Israel (this particular guitar was built while he was still in San Diego). He builds in a purely traditional Spanish style. Born in Israel and raised among musicians, Perelman found his passion for guitar making after studying guitar under Celin Romero. He considers himself primarily self-taught, although he gives much credit to fellow west coast guitar maker Eugene Clark. During the years spent in California, Erez would frequently visit GSI to view the historical instruments that would pass through our doors, and study them not only for their structural and physical properties, but also to feel how they played and sounded. As a result of his natural disposition and interest in these beautiful guitars, his instruments are very traditional in sound and playability as well - ultra lightweight, fast response, big, warm, woody sound, etc. This particular has a memorable old-world tone, full of richness and clarity.
This particular guitar is a flamenco negra from 2012, and is it excellent condition. It has a memorable old-world tone, full of attack, richness and clarity. With a well-shaped neck and easy action, it is a comfortable guitar for any player. Highly recommended as an excellent value for a handmade concert guitar from this great maker. A hardshell case is included with this guitar.
Paco de Lucia recently ordered one of these fine flamencos, for more details, click here.
