2012 Pepe Romero "Ukulele" SP/CSAR

Made by the son of the great guitarist of the same name. Known for his phenomenal guitars, Pepe Romero Jr. now builds some very exciting ukulele's - but using traditional guitar methods and structural details, including a modified guitar bracing system internally as well as a "guitar-esque" plantilla, rosette and head design. This tenor uke has 14 frets to the body, 17" scale, African rosewood fingerboard and bridge, CSA "Churchdoor-esque" rosewood for the back and sides as well as head veneer. It has Pepe's customary arched top and back with Spanish heel neck to body joint. This is the first guitar made for GSI to feature his "fanned" bracing pattern - for the back! It also features flamed maple binding and Planetary "machine" pegs. Like his guitars, the ukes have huge volume and extremely quick response. In the past couple of years, his ukes have become so popular that they're currently being played by the likes of Daniel Ho, Jake Shimabukuro, Eddie Vedder, Paula Fuga, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper.
