Description

This is another great instrument from luthier Wataru Tsuji, working out of the Asturias workshop in Japan. This model, the "Double Top" is one of the top models in their "Advanced Series". In contrast to their traditional guitars, it is much lighter in weight, giving a quick response and great power. Sandwiched between two thin pieces of cedar is Nomex, and the inside is braced with a modified Torres 5 fan system. This bracing produces a sound with added power and yet a balanced, more "traditional" quality at the same time. The soundboard is French polished, and the back and sides are lacquered, making this a very durable instrument for the player looking for a workhorse of a concert guitar. As is typical of this maker, fit and finish of this guitar is perfect, and materials are highest quality available. The action is set very comfortably, and help make this an overall very enjoyable guitar for player and audience alike. It also features a slightly elevated fingerboard, for easier access to notes above the 12th fret. A great choice for the serious concert performer or recording artist.
