Description

This book covers the history of Danish guitars and their makers, from the earliest known instrument of Johannes Peter Linck in 1777 until today. From the first classical gut string guitars, through steel string guitars and jazz guitars, to modern classical and electric guitars.

Some 98 surviving guitars by Danish makers are described, and richly illustrated with 350 color images of the instruments (with details) and 35 black and white portraits of the makers and historic photographs. Every craftsman is portrayed in a short biography.

The book was written by guitarmaker Kenneth Brogger, also the author of "Klassic guitarbygning" (Classical Guitar Making).
