  Background

The late Manuel Reyes of Cordoba is still considered to be the greatest and most sought-after flamenco builder of the latter half of the twentieth century. He is known for his superb workmanship and is legendary for his authentic Andalusian flamenco sound – he has always constructed his guitars in the heart of the old quarter of Cordoba, in the deep south of Spain. His guitars have been played by dozens of flamenco professionals internationally, perhaps most notably being Vicente Amigo, Paco Serrano and Antonio Rey.
