Description
This guitar, made in 1994 by the great Granada-based builder Paco Santiago Marin (nephew of Antonio Marin), is a fantastic classical. Perhaps among the most powerful of the Granada instruments, these also have a very elegant, lyrical voice with a very rich and thick quality of tone across all registers. At the same time it is very clear and balanced - very impressive especially since it's a cedar top. It's also lightweight for its size, and has a huge bite at the attack of every note. Apart from some dings and playing wear in the finish, there are two invisible, hairline cracks on the top on either side of the bridge which have been well-repaired by GV Rubio. Materials are stunning and craftsmanship is to this makers' usual high standard. This is a great instrument to both eye and ear by one of the most respected Spanish builders alive today.Orfeo Magazine #8 - The Granada School
