Description

This is a beautifully made guitar by Santos Bayon, who modeled it on the work of the great Santos Hernandez (1874-1943). Indeed Santos Bayon uses the workbench, forms, and tools of Santos Hernandez in his workshop which is only a few doors down the same street from where Santos Hernandez was working at 27 Aduana in Madrid (Santos Bayon is located at 23 Aduana). It features beautiful materials and intricate detailing, particularly in the rosette with MOP inlays. Sound is rich and deep with easy playability. Overall a well-made tribute to one of the twentieth-centuries most beloved luthiers.
