Description

For legendary flamenco guitarist Tomatito to put his name on a line of flamenco guitars, he had to find an extraordinary luthier (or, as it turned out, two) to design and build the guitars to his exacting specifications. Juan Miguel Gonzales and Vicente Carillo turned out to be a perfect match for Tomatito’s vision. The fusion between these two guitar makers, each bringing his personal experience, made it possible to offer this limited edition series of signature model guitars, backed by the professionalism and caliber of a guitarist like Tomatito. They were made according to the strict specifications of Jose Fernandez Torres (Tomatito), and each guitar was personally inspected by him. This assured an unparalleled level of quality control, assuring the satisfaction of any guitarist, amateur or professional.

This model, the "La Chanca", was the top model in the Tomatito line, this being the first ever built. It is a concert-ready flamenco guitar made by Vicente Carrillo, according to Tomatito's strict specifications. This negra features beautiful Indian rosewood for the back & sides, which compliments the colors of the rosette nicely, and makes for a gorgeous guitar overall. One advantage found in a negra flamenco like this is its ability to project a focused sound straight ahead, making it ideal for stage performances. With easy playability and a bright, punchy sound, this guitar is an ideal choice for any professional looking for a concert guitar at an affordable price.
