2009 Oscar Trezzini SP/CSAR
|Back & Sides:
Oscar Trezzini is a well-known and much in-demand Luthier in Europe with a considerable wait-list and GSI is pleased to be introducing him to the US market. In our opinion, he stands among the best of the contemporary builders in the world. Top players of Trezzini's instruments in the European circuit include Quique Sinesi and Remi Jousselme and Cecilia Zabala just to name a few. Oscar started as a guitar maker in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1982, under the tutelage of luthiers Pedro Malossetti and Héctor Curto. Like many top builders throughout history, his early efforts produced a dazzling variety of different guitar types before he gradually refined his techniques and settled on the classical guitar, which he now builds exclusively. In recent years, Trezzini has benefitted from the advice of his friend and mentor Dominique Field, as he seeks to continually improve and refine his style and sound. This particular instrument features some beautiful aesthetics including the highly refined rosette (it almost requires the use of magnifying glass to truly appreciate). Materials are stunning - it has gorgeous rosewood for the back/sides with sap highlights. Tuning machines are top-quality Rodgers from England. Sound is superb - it has excellent clarity and power, with a very focused, deep natural tone. Although a spruce-top, it is has a harmonically-rich texture that gives it a very intriguing, mysterious quality. Overall, a top-level concert and recording instrument for the discriminating performer.
A hardshell case is included with this guitar.
