Another wonderful Fleta that we have had the good fortune to acquire. All the qualities of a great Fleta are here: Exceptional volume, quality of sound, sustain, everything. Playability on the instrument is A true contemporary concert guitar with the refinement of the best old world guitars. This instrument was originally bought in 1957 by the great jazz clarinetist, Artie Shaw, who was living in Spain from 1955-1960. It is a little known fact that he was a classical guitar hobbyist in addition to being the great jazz musician he is remembered for. Coincidentally this is the same year as the first (of three) Fletas that would be acquired by Andres Segovia. There are several well-repaired cracks on the instrument, done with great care not to damage the original thickness or finish on the instrument – all polish and thicknesses are original. This instrument would be highly satisfying to collector and concert artist alike.
