With a nine year waiting list and significant demand in the U.S., Europe and Japan, Eric Sahlin
is one of the great American luthiers who has achieved world-class status. Sahlin's guitars have been used by Scott Tennant, Andrew York, Ottmar Liebert (flamenco), Carsten Pedersen and others.
This 2005 is an absolutely stunning example of Sahlin's finest work, and features a soundboard traditionally finished with a French polish of shellac. Rich, clean and incredibly powerful, the tone projects with great separation and color. As is evident in the aesthetic details, Sahlin's craftsmanship is second to none, and features elegant and understated use of mother of pearl inlay, veneers and purfling throughout the instrument. The tuners are Rodgers. The CSA rosewood is old, stable and beautiful, and the spruce soundboard is full of silking and cross-grain. A truly incredible concert instrument in every regard.
