While building instruments in the 1970's, Ron Hachez was able to hear and repair many of the guitars of Miguel Rodriquez. In studying these magnificent instruments he found a tonal ideal for his own guitars. Through Ron's friendship with Henri Besancon (the late Orange County flamenco guitarist and luthier/repairman) – Ron was able to examine and play guitars made by history's greatest makers that came through his shop for repair work. This guitar we are offering here is clearly influenced deeply by Miguel Rodriguez, many of the aesthetic details and more importantly the sound, show a reverence to the instruments from this great Spanish workshop. This guitar has great power like a Rodriguez, with a dark and mysterious richness in every note. Although this guitar has been played a great deal (as can be seen by the wear on it - particularly on the top), the structural condition is excellent with no cracks or repairs. The materials are exquisite - particularly the very dramatic CSA rosewood on the back and sides. Overall a tremendous amount of guitar for the price - very musical, extremely playable (for a long scale) with a big southern Spanish sound.
