German luthier Kolya Panhuyzen is the nephew of the legendary builder Edgar Mönch and built his first guitar in the Mönch workshop in 1967, where he assisted his uncle by preparing and building parts for Mönch guitars. In 1976 he established his own workshop in Toronto, Canada where he remains to this day, even though he spends part of the year working in Germany as well.

An impressive number of professional guitarists play (or have played on) Panhuyzen guitars. A "short list" would include Carlo Domeniconi, Zoran Dukic, Hubert Käppel, Dale Kavanagh, Thomas Kirchhoff, Matt Palmer, Krzysztof Pelech, Laura Young, and Raphaella Smits. These instruments are known for their reliable and sturdy build, concert quality sound and projection, and ease of play, which is precisely found in this guitar we have on offer now. It also includes a raised fingerboard which is popular with many players who feel it helps facilitate increased ease of play in the upper registers. Condition is excellent with barely any wear in the finish. Overall a finely built instrument by a very respected veteran of the craft.
