Pepe Romero Jr. was born into a family established in the tradition of the Spanish guitar. Regarded as royalty in the classical guitar world, Pepe’s grandfather, father and uncles have been knighted by the king of Spain for their achievements and excellence in guitar playing. Pepe’s guitars are in great demand by concert guitarists and collectors worldwide. Some fans of his instruments are Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Daniel Ho, Mike Love, and every concertizing member of his family.

In recent years, Pepe Romero Jr. has applied his expertise and knowledge of the classical guitar to his ukuleles. Each is hand crafted in the traditional Spanish method. He approaches them like small classical guitars and builds them to be light and powerful with a full warm tone that can fill a concert hall while played un-amplified. These also make fantastic travel guitars due to their smaller, more convenient size.

He asked his father, legendary Spanish guitarist Pepe Romero, Sr., "What would you do to a ukulele to make it better suited to you?" He replied, "Add two more stings, a guitar neck, make the body a little larger, and tune it like a guitar." And thus, the Pepe Romero Six String was born. This instrument blurs the line between a 6 string baritone ukulele and a parlor guitar. It features a polyurethane finish, 14 frets to the body and has standard guitar tuning (E, A, D, G, B, E), so is instantly playable to any guitarist. It delivers everything from strong bass to sweet, singing high end. Designed by Pepe Romero Jr, this new parlor model features a beautiful satin finish, solid wood top, solid spalted Mango back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, abalone inlay, black geared tuners, truss rod, and laser engraved headstock. Price includes padded foam case.
